- The Internet Data Delivery Service is responsible for getting data from one computer on the internet to another using a store-and-forward mechanism.
- There are two components to the delivery service: End-to-End (TCP) and en-route (IP).
- The functionalities provided by TCP/IP include: packeting, reliable transfer, congestion control, routing, etc.
