Creating Your Home Page (1)
To allow users to publish their information (a.k.a. “pages”) on the WWW, a particular “subtree” of the file system is dedicated to the storage of users’ Web pages.
On CSA, this subtree is mounted under /cs/www/html
Any file under this subtree is “accessible” through the HTTP server at www.cs.bu.edu
