The battle rages on...you must move quickly to reach the goal and escape the four deadly combat zones, before the enemy destroys your crippled battalion, as well as the limited fuel dumps that are essential for victory. BUT, beware of the missiles and the land mines as you make your way to safety...

ABOUT BATTLE ROBOTS
Battle Robots Version 1.0a is a alpha-version
release of a project to demonstrate variable-level temporal
and spatial
consistency protocols within a distributed gaming
environment, so that
scalability can be increased (allowing more users and more
hosts to operate
together) without degradation in the responsiveness of the
application.
Battle Robots is also a standalone game that you can play
with your friends
over a network.
You can check out the paper entitled, "Exploiting Temporal and Spatial Constraints on Distributed Shared Objects", by Richard West, Karsten Schwan, Ivan Tacic and Mustaque Ahamad (Proc17th IEEE ICDCS Conference, Baltimore, 1997), if you're interested in the research issues and motivation behind this work.
